Meaning: A corruption of D'Angier,i.e., from Angier, a town in France. The name is focused in the Seine-Maritime, but it is also present in the Centre (Indre-et-Loire in particular) and in other regions. Several meanings are possible: either the one who is from hazards, town of Eure-et-Loir, possibly Angers. It can also be a name equivalent to the word "danger" (see Donger for directions).
