Origin: Ireland, England
Meaning:

As per historian J. L. Smart findings: "When Dr. Sacheverell was at the height of his peculiar popularity, an iron monger at Birmingham invented the improvement to a stove, called a blower, which he, for trading purposes, to increase the sale of the article, named a sacheverell. I have repeatedly heard my mother, now in her ninety-first year, refer to the fact, and, as she knew Birmingham well in her youth, the point is perhaps worthy of your consideration".

A form of Satchell. A small sack or bag. Probably an ancient trader's sign.

A name of uncertain meaning. It can hardly come from sachererel, which, according to Halliwell, means the iron door or blower of a stove. As it is sometimes written Sachervill, it was probably taken from some place in Normandy. In records it is latinized De saltu Capelle, 'goat's leap' or 'goat's wood,' and the crest is a goat. In the Hundred Rolls, it is written Saucheverel, without prefix, and there is one Nichs. Sans Cheverel, which, if it has any meaning, would seem to be Nicholas, without the Little Goat.

An adaptation of Zachary. Descendant of Zacharias or Zachary that means "whom Jehovah remembers".
